We are looking for adult patients who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for five years or less.
Our project aims to determine whether an intervention, including a combination of drugs for diabetes and improved lifestyle, can induce the remission of diabetes. Unlike the traditional approach, this would help patients control their sugar levels without any medication.
- Man or women, from 30 to 80 years old
- Type 2 diabetes, diagnosed for five years or less
- Not taking insulin
The study has a length of 64 weeks:
- The intervention phase lasts 12 weeks and includes a maximum of 10 visits to the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal’s clinic (120 avenue des Pins Ouest, Montréal);
- The maintenance phase lasts one year (52 weeks) and includes five visits to the institute’s clinic.
A financial compensation will be provided.
Project under the direction of Dr. Rémi Rabasa-Lhoret
