Montréal Clinical Research Institute
9:00 am to 2:30 pm
The IRCM will hold its first blood donor clinic of its history on Friday, October 27, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm in the Institute’s lobby located at 110 avenue des Pins West, in Montreal.
Supervised by Héma-Québec and chaired by Tarik Möröy, President and Scientific Director of the IRCM, and Marie Trudel, Director of the Molecular Genetics and Development Research Unit of the Institute, this initiative is a gesture of solidarity for thousands of patients, children and adults, who will recover from a generous blood donation. The objective for our first IRCM donor clinic is to recruit 50 donors.
Give blood. Give life.
Did you know that 1,000 donors are needed every day in Quebec to meet the demand of hospitals? That a single blood donation saves 4 lives? However, only 3% of the population of Quebecers who are eligible to donate blood actually give this gift of life.
To make a blood donation, you must make an appointment with Martine Vaillancourt at the IRCM at 514-987-5622 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
To find out more about your eligibility to give blood, you can visit Héma-Québec’s website or contact Héma-Québec's Customer Service Department at 1 800 847-2525.
