J.-Robert Ouimet is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Ouimet-Cordon Bleu Foods Inc. – Paris Pâté – Clark Foods. He holds a degree in commerce from HEC Montréal, a Master’s in political and social sciences from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, and an MBA from Columbia University in New York. In 1998, he earned a doctorate in economics and social sciences from the University of Fribourg, magna cum laude, for his thesis defence, “Concilier bonheur humain et rentabilité de l’entreprise – Mission Possible!” (Balancing human happiness and corporate profits – yes, it can be done!). He sits on some 15 boards, including the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal. In 2009, he received an honorary Doctorate degree from the Rector at the Université Laval. He received this recognition for this outstanding contribution to community organizations in Quebec. He has been a member of the IRCM Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2004, and was a member of the IRCM Board from 1994 to 2004.
