Hub of economic development for Montréal
The IRCM is located in the very heart of Montréal’s university district, near the Université de Montréal, McGill University and the Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as many important research hospitals.

The Institut attracts renowned researchers and promising young scientists from around the world. Compelling Quebec’s best researchers to come back home is another one of IRCM’s strengths. In fact, some researchers who have setup their laboratories here are Quebecers who chose the IRCM despite tempting offers from the United States or abroad.
