What are the indirect costs of research at the IRCM?
As indicated by the name, the indirect costs of research are all expenses that are not directly related to carrying out research projects. However, these expenses are required to support research projects.
For example, they include expenses related to the management of research, the maintenance of associated buildings and infrastructure, the installation and maintenance of research laboratories, the maintenance of libraries or networking spaces, as well as the technical support required for websites and library computer systems, and many other types of indirect research support.
About the Research Support Fund
