The Cellular Physiology and Immunology research unit
focuses on understanding the functions of dendritic cells and their subsets. Dr. Cheolho Cheong, Director of the laboratory, is
particularly interested in the hematopoietic origins of dendritic cells and their capacity to build and modulate the immune response in different settings, such as microbial infections or auto-inflammatory processes. One important objective of Dr. Cheong’s research is to develop the next generation of immune therapies to better treat autoimmune diseases, atherosclerosis and cancer.
