Equipment

1) Microarray

  • Large-scale amplification of PCR products (multiprobe facility)
  • Printing DNA samples on slides (PCR products or oligonucleotides)
  • Hybridization facility of microarrays and data acquisition.

Array printing is performed using an OmniGrid 100 Microarrayer equipped with TeleChem SMP3B pins (19 200 spots/slide) or 946MP2B pins (43 000 spots/slide) on ultragaps slides.

Hybridization and scanning are performed by the customer. All buffers, controls and hybridization chambers are provided by the Facility. Microarrays will be scanned with a dual laser scanner (Axon GenPix® 4000B) at 635 nm and 532 nm. The data are analyzed using the GenPix Pro 4.1 analysis software and/or Spotreader.

2) DNA Sequencing
We have a ABI 3130xl genetic analyzer offering 16 capillary throughput and advanced automation capabilities. Using the BigDye terminator chemistry we are capable to deliver 900bp and high data quality with ssDNA, dsDNA, PCR product, cosmid, BAC and genomic bacterial DNA. We can also offer microsatellite DNA methodology : detection by PCR (1 fluorescent primer) and separation by automated capillary electrophoresis-based DNA sequencer.
