Prior to the CTC meeting, the QTRN (Quebec Transgenic Research Network) will organize a symposium on phenotyping of genetically modified animal models. Information and the program are available on the QTRN Web page (http://www.rrtq.org/index.aspx?lang=Eng). The symposium will take place at the IRCM (Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal), within walking distance from the site of the CTC meeting). Information about how to get to the IRCM will be made available at the New Residence Hall (please enquire).

2. Special session on the Collaborative Cross: The goal of the Collaborative Cross is to generate ~ 1000 recombinant inbred mice originating from 8 carefully selected inbred strains (including 3 wild-derived strains). Generation of this unique resource has been progressing steadily. The session should focus on the new scientific opportunities arising from this novel resource.
