Overview

May 31 - June 3, 2008

Montréal, Québec,  Canada

Essentially all common human diseases are complex, since their range of prevalence, severity and outcome is determined by the interaction of many genes and environmental factors. The CTC (Complex Trait Consortium) is open to all those interested in or working on the identification of gene networks and allelic variants that modulate complex phenotypes in various models (either animal or human) in diverse environments. The list of interested people includes (but is not limited to) geneticists, molecular biologists, statisticians, computer scientists, or anyone interested in deciphering specific traits in their preferred model. The CTC provides an essential forum where scientists interested in complex traits can keep abreast of the latest technologies or resources, exchange information about ongoing projects and initiate international collaborations.

The CTC has been holding yearly meetings since 2002, alternating between North America and Europe (2002, Memphis, Tennessee / 2003, Oxford, U.K. / 2004, Bar Harbor, Maine / 2005, Groningen, The Netherlands / 2006, Chapel Hill, North Carolina / 2007, Braunschweig, Germany). More information about the Complex Trait Consortium and/or its previous meetings can be found at www.complextrait.org

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Montreal this year with a mix a great science and social interactions!
