Financial Management Agent

Summary of responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Associate director, Finances, the Financial Management Officer designs, analyzes, evaluates and provides professional techniques relating to accounting and financial operations to assist in the financial management of the institution.

Main tasks

  • Participate in financial forecasting and see to financial follow-ups, internal service billings and accounting entries.
  • Do a financial follow-up of different platforms/services, participate in the analysis of the cost price and the invoicing; 
  • Produce financial statements and other management reports in accordance with standards, annual financial statements and audit support file.
  • Performs analyses of financial management processes; 
  • Create various complex reports with different systems.  
  • Ensures the optimization of the functionalities of the financial computer systems; 
  • Participates in the improvement, monitoring and evaluation of the quality of work related to financial operations and provides assistance, advice and support to department personnel; 
  • Carries out various accounting analyses and reports as requested. 
  • Performs any other related duties as requested by his/her immediate superior.
  • Ensures the coordination, control, budgetary and accounting follow-up of internal/external revenue generating training activities and all special projects.
  • Verifies and validates monthly billing for group insurance and adjusts annual rates. 
  • Compiles data, produces and analyzes financial and other compensation-related reports in accordance with user requirements and in a timely manner (e.g.: entries, expense reimbursements, tax statements, PA calculations, tax reports, etc.).
  • Produce Records of Employment and any other payroll-related documents

Required qualifications

  • Have a university degree in administrative sciences, accounting or any other relevant discipline, 
  • Five (5) years of experience in a similar position. 
  • Membership in a professional corporation (CPA) will be considered an important asset. 
  • Experience in the health and social services network will be considered an important asset. 
  • Mastery of the Office 365 suite, particularly Excel and advanced functions.
  • Bilingualism in written and spoken French and English. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 
  • Autonomy, efficiency and initiative
  • Payroll knowledge - asset
