The Marcel-Piché Prize is awarded every two years to an IRCM researcher in recognition of the quality of their research work and their contribution to the development and influence of the Institute.
Marcel Piché, a Montreal lawyer specializing in corporate law, was actively involved in the founding of the IRCM. He was the first president of the corporation and remained with the organization until 1991. Throughout his career, he showed a special interest in the IRCM and continually supported its expansion, contributing significantly to the growth and influence of the Institute.
The Montreal Clinical Research Institute’s Medal of Merit is awarded to individuals who play an exceptional role in the development of biomedical sciences or who defend the values that are foundational to the IRCM.
