CIHR grants, March 2006

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) announced the results of the march 2006 competition. The recipients include six IRCM researchers. A total of $3.3 million over a period of five years was awarded.

Dr. Vibhuti P. Dave: an annual operating grant of $102,053, for a period of three years, for the research project Role of CD3 chains in T cell development and function.

Dr. Jacques Drouin: an annual operating grant of $167,526, for a period of five years, for the research project Role of pitx genes in development.

Dr. David R. Hipfner: an annual operating grant of $120,878, for a period of three years, for the research project Regulation of moesin activation in Drosophila.

Dr. Mona Nemer: an annual operating grant of $147,419, for a period of five years, for the research project Chamber-specific expression of cardiac natriuretic peptide genes.

Dr. Timothy L. Reudelhuber: an annual operating grant of $134,803, for a period of three years, for the research project Angiotensin 1-7 as a cardioprotective agent.

Dr. Marie Trudel: an annual operating grant of $132,827, for a period of five years, for the research project Functional analysis of the polycystic kidney disease-1 gene in transgenic mice.
