The singular experience of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the surface important questions surrounding our well-being. What place do we really give to well-being in our daily lives and in our society?
To tackle some of these issues, the Montreal Health Ethics Conferences return in 2021, under the theme of Well-being, health and human development. Offered by the IRCM's Pragmatic Ethics Research Unit directed by Eric Racine, conferences are free of charge and will host leading national and international experts who will address ethical aspects and reflect on an inclusive vision of well-being and health. The series will be launched by speaker Rose-Marie Charest, who will discuss the links to be explored between ethics and psychological health.

The Montreal Health Ethics Conference Series is an annual series of bilingual conferences and webinars that aim to bring clinicians, scholars, patients, politicians and public personalities, students and community members to discuss and reflect on health ethics issues. The series’ objective, supported by many academic institutions located in Montreal, is to promote interdisciplinary reflection as well as foster new ways of thought that reach out to a broader audience. Formerly known as the Montreal Neuroethics network, this series has welcomed over fifty researchers from all over the world.
