Opening of the Cécile and Pierre Shooner Room of the IRCM

On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) / Montreal Clinical Research Institute and the IRCM Foundation officially renamed the Institute's boardroom in recognition of a donation from the Cécile and Pierre Shooner Funds.

In presence of the Shooners’ family and friends, Tarik Möröy, IRCM President and Scientific Director, highlighted the role of Pierre Shooner as a member of the IRCM board from 1988 to 2016 by reminding that “he has worked tirelessly for nearly 30 years to bring the Institute and the Foundation to the attention of the business community and major donors. He was also a valued adviser during his term at the Institute.”

“We are very pleased with the inauguration of this room and the Shooner family’s contribution for this renovation project. We sincerely thank them for this donation and for their commitment to biomedical research,” concluded André J.P. Couillard, President of the IRCM Foundation.
