UAP donates $250,000 to IRCM for new biomedical research laboratories

The Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) / Montreal Clinical Research Institute Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a $250,000 donation from UAP. The funds will be used to renovate and upgrade some of the IRCM’s biomedical research laboratories.

“The IRCM is a leading research institute and we are delighted to support it by helping to improve its laboratories. This jewel of Quebec research, which is credited with a number of discoveries, has earned an international reputation for the quality of its work and the excellence of its researchers,” said UAP President Alain Masse, an IRCM Foundation Board member from 2014 to 2016.

“This support underlines UAP’s confidence in the IRCM and its mission,” said André J.P. Couillard, President of the IRCM Foundation. “And it comes at a crucial time, as the IRCM’s needs will continue to increase over the next few years. I would like to thank the entire UAP team and its partners who will be supporting biomedical research.”

“The IRCM will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and we are proud to have such committed partners as UAP, a company that truly makes a difference in the community by supporting organizations like ours,” said Tarik Möröy, IRCM President and Scientific Director. “With this donation we will be able to modernize some of our facilities to maintain the IRCM’s level of excellence.”
