Arpenter/plasterer/painter

Summary of reponsibilities

The person constructs, repairs and maintains frames, finishes walls, ceilings, floors and other structures from wood, metal or other materials as required. They install and adjust doors, windows, glass, upholstery, tapes, siding and interior and exterior hardware. He or she designs, installs, transforms and repairs fixed or mobile furniture according to specifications and instructions. The person is able to read, prepare, interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, sketches, calculate material requirements, plan and carry out work according to schedules, budgets and in compliance with the Building Act. Applies coats of plaster, paint, lacquers, varnishes, stains and other products. Uses, cleans and maintains various equipment. In addition to the above, moves furniture and transports various items. He or she is part of the fire brigade.

Qualifications

Certificate of qualification or D.E.P. in carpentry, plastering or painting issued by the authorized ministry or relevant experience in the construction field.

Performance criteria

  • The work performed must meet the established quality standards.
  • Ensures that the work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Immediately informs his superior of any anomaly.
  • Ability to provide written reports to supervisor when required.

  • Concern for the quality of your work
  • Ease of working alone or in a small team

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of five years of construction experience or experience deemed equivalent;
  • Skills Cards are an asset
