About  Vassilios Papadopoulos
Dr. Vassili Papadopoulos is the Dean of USC Alfred Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Professor of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicine at USC. A graduate of the University of Athens School of Pharmacy, Dr. Papadopoulos completed his Ph.D. at Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, followed by post-doctoral training in France and Australia. He joined the Georgetown University School of Medicine faculty, where he rose to become Professor and Department Chair and then Director of the Biomedical Graduate Research Organization. He subsequently served as Executive Director of the Research Institute of McGill University Health Centre and Professor of Medicine at McGill University. His research focuses on the pathophysiology and treatment of diseases related to altered steroid hormone synthesis. He published extensively, holds numerous patents, and served on advisory committees and boards of government agencies, institutions, foundations, and corporations. Dr. Papadopoulos is an elected member of the French National Academies of Pharmacy and Medicine and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
