The Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) is proud to announce that Dr. Yasaman Aghazadeh, a Director, Research Unit in Regenerative Medicine for Diabetes at IRCM, has been awarded $350,000 in funding through a Stem Cell Network (SCN) initiative.

As Lead Investigator, Dr. Aghazadeh will lead a project that aims at developing stem cell derived beta cells as a long-term treatment of type 1 diabetes, with potential to reduce or eliminate insulin injections.

This funding highlights the excellence of her research and its potential to advance innovative treatments for type 1 diabetes.
