Basic research can lead to the development of new diagnostic approaches and treatments that need to be evaluated for efficacy and safety through clinical studies.

Volunteer participants in our clinical research program contribute directly to the advancement of research. Our participants are followed by a team of professionals, including nurses and doctors. This monitoring is essential because these are often new techniques or molecules that have not been used in humans and whose effects cannot always be predicted.

FEDERATE-CAN

The IRCM Clinic is seeking participants for the FEDERATE research project. Our study, led by Dr. Rémi Rabasa-Lhoret and his team, aims to evaluate the feasibility and adherence to a screening program for early-stage type 1 diabetes among adult first-degree relatives (mother, father, brother, sister, child) of people living with type 1 diabetes in Quebec.
