The Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) is proud to celebrate the nomination of Dr. Emilia Liana Falcone to the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) as a 2025 Emerging Leader.

This prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Falcone’s outstanding contributions to biomedical research and clinical innovation. As a physician-scientist and the director of the IRCM Post-COVID-19 Research Clinic (IPCO), Dr. Falcone has played a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of long COVID and its complex immunological and metabolic impacts. Her work bridges the gap between fundamental science and patient care, embodying the IRCM’s mission to place human health at the heart of scientific discovery.

Dr. Falcone was trained at McGill University, at the University of Cambridge and at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and has since become a leading voice in translational medicine. Her research is distinguished by its depth, its precision, and its compassion, and she is widely recognized for her commitment to developing personalized therapies that improve patient care.
