The Réseau de recherche sur les savoirs citoyens et les approches cocréatives (RéSCits), a new emerging strategic grouping funded by the FRQ-SC, held its first annual scientific day, on May 28 at the IRCM, aimed at deepening and co-constructing knowledge and experience of citizen knowledge, as well as co-creative approaches in research.

Under the theme Citizen knowledge at the heart of co-creation: theories, practices and reflexivity, 65 participants explored the experiences, successes, difficulties, questions and emotions at the heart of research conducted with, by and for citizens.

The events of this scientific day were a resounding success, showcasing different forms of citizen knowledge and co-creative approaches.

‘’We are very proud of the work accomplished, which is the first step towards a fruitful and constructive dialogue in the service of citizen knowledge," commented Dr. Eric Racine, director of this new network, and of the Pragmatic Health Ethics Research Unit at the IRCM.
