About this conference
This lecture will trace the mechanistic and therapeutic evolution of gut hormone-based therapies, starting with the incretin concept, later encompassing modern weight loss medicines, followed by demonstration of pleiotropic cardiorenal, hepatic and anti-inflammatory benefits in preclinical studies, subsequently validated in the clinic, across a wide range of cardiometabolic disorders.
