More Than $54 Million to Boost Cutting-Edge Research and Care

The IRCM Welcomes Major Grant from Quebec Government

The Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) welcomes the financial contribution of $54,426,939 announced by the Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Energy (MEIE), Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, to fund part of the Institute's operating expenses until March 31, 2027.
Thanks to this funding, the IRCM will be able to maintain its research activities in order to accelerate the discovery of cutting-edge diagnostic tools as well as prevention and treatment methods. The funding comes from the Quebec Research and Innovation Investment Strategy 2022 2027.

"We warmly thank the MEIE for this support, which is vital to the pursuit of our mission. This funding will stimulate biomedical innovation through fundamental and clinical discoveries and enable the development of precision therapies for a broad spectrum of diseases that affect people at home and abroad. In the IRCM's laboratories, our scientists are working to lay the foundations for future therapies, and to train scientific leaders who will contribute to the sustainable health of today's and tomorrow's populations." – Dr. Jean François Côté, President and Scientific Director, Montréal Clinical Research Institute
