Of this amount:
- $4,647,000 will help to better understand the causes of diseases and to develop new diagnostic tools, as well as innovative means of prevention and treatment.
- $458,000 will be invested in training the next generation of scientists to develop a pipeline of highly qualified young researchers.
- $214,000 will be used to upgrade the Institute's research facilities, providing our teams with environments evermore conductive to new discoveries.
The IRCM Foundation is an essential ally of the Institute. As a bridge to committed companies, organizations, and individuals, it mobilizes the resources needed to drive the advancement of research. In line with the Institute's strategic vision, its mission is to support the talent and excellence of our scientific teams, empowering them to fully realize their innovative potential.
“The generosity of our donors is proof that the community deeply believes in the essential role of the IRCM. Their tangible support ensures that innovation in health research will continue to advance in the future,” emphasizes André Couillard, President of the IRCM Foundation.
“In a context where public resources are under significant pressure and cuts are directly affecting the research community, the role of our foundation is more crucial than ever. Its support allows us to pursue cutting-edge research while training the next generation of scientists in a context where public resources are under severe strain,” notes Dr. Jean-François Côté, President and Scientific Director of the IRCM.
