Dr. Alexis Baass Receives Prestigious Award for Familial Hypercholesterolemia Research

The Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) is proud to highlight the outstanding achievement of Dr. Alexis Baass, clinician-scientist at our institution, who received the Donald Hunninghake, MD, Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) Abstract Award at the National Lipid Association (NLA) Annual Scientific Sessions, held in Miami from May 29 to June 1, 2025.

This prestigious award is presented annually by the NLA Foundation to recognize exceptional clinical research in the field of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). It honors the most outstanding abstract aimed at improving early detection and care for patients affected by this common yet underdiagnosed genetic condition.

This recognition highlights Dr. Baass’s scientific leadership in the field of lipidology and his dedication to advancing the understanding and management of hereditary lipid disorders.
