
The Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) acknowledges the long-term work of Dr. Michel Cayouette on the board of directors of Fighting Blindness Canada (FBC).
For the past eleven years, Dr. Cayouette, who is also V-P Research and Academic Affairs at the IRCM, and whose laboratory has made many key discoveries, many in the field of vision health, was member of the Board of Directors of FBC, for which he also acted as Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board, a role he will retain.
Winner of the Université de Montréal Research Recognition Award and Director of the IRCM's Cellular Neurobiology Research Unit, as well as Director of the FRQS Vision Sciences Research Network, Dr Cayouette and his teams regularly make headlines for the publication of major scientific works, making a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge on eye diseases and the development of new therapies for vision loss.
