IRCM Challenge: All hearts united for the cause

IRCM Challenge: All hearts united for the cause

The IRCM Challenge 12th edition took place from October 9 to 24. More than 320 participants came together in minds and spirits to take up a sporting challenge in support of health research. Alone or in teams, they created their own itineraries, and together they raised more than $ 180,000 to fund research scholarships for IRCM's students.

This remote formula, maintained for a second consecutive year due to the pandemic, brought around the cause, patients from IRCM clinics, members of the internal community, health and research professionals as well as members of the general public.

“We are thankful to all the people who invested their time to make this edition such a success. This participation record warms our hearts and shows how much the public trusts the research carried out at the IRCM to improve health knowledge, declared both André Couillard, President of the IRCM Foundation and Jean-François Côté, Interim President and Scientific Director of the IRCM. We also thank our volunteers, the members of our ambassadors' committee, and especially to the President of the Committee, Isabelle Cantin.”

Since its creation in 2010, the IRCM Challenge has raised over $ 1 million to support the training of new generations of high-level scientists.
