The Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) is proud to congratulate its young up and coming scientists who distinguished themselves in the Fall 2025 scholarship competitions, securing major support from provincial and federal funding agencies:

  • The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)
  • The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)
  • The Fonds de recherches du Québec – Santé (FRQS)

In total, these scholarships amount to approximately $1.25 million awarded to 17 science trainees, at graduate or postdoctoral levels at the IRCM.

Such distinctions highlight the talent, rigour, and commitment of IRCM’s future researchers, and reflect the quality of both the mentorship and the research environment offered at the Institute. Thanks to this support, the recipients will be able to pursue ambitious projects at the forefront of innovation in biomedical research.

The IRCM also wishes to highlight Théa Milland, Leela Taggar, and Maha Lebbar, who each received double awards, an exceptional achievement.

“These successes are a great source of pride for IRCM. They reflect not only the individual excellence of our students, but also the strength of our scientific community and our ability to nurture emerging talent,” emphasizes Dr. Jean François Côté, President and Scientific Director of IRCM.

IRCM extends its warmest congratulations to all award recipients and wishes them every success as they pursue their research endeavours.
