We are seeking a master’s student to contribute to the project “Recherche exploratoire et cocréation d’une œuvre collective et de matériel de sensibilisation sur l’impact de l’intelligence artificielle sur l’épanouissement des jeunes”, funded by OBVIA – Observatoire international sur les impacts sociétaux de l’IA et du numérique.
The selected candidate will work closely with Eric Racine, PhD, and the project coordinator on literature reviews and empirical research activities. The student will contribute to achieving the project’s scientific objectives, data analysis, and the preparation of reports and scientific publications. The student’s master’s thesis project will be based on the work conducted within this initiative.
This project offers a unique opportunity for research training in a stimulating interdisciplinary environment. The student will benefit from rigorous supervision based on the mentorship model developed by the principal investigator, which is designed to foster research skills and support academic and professional career development.
The student will be involved in the project’s main activities, including:
- Literature reviews;
- Data transcription and organization;
- Qualitative data analysis;
- Preparation of scientific presentations;
- Writing of articles and other scientific publications.
Funding period: September 2026 to August 2028
Scholarship: $28,000 per year for two years
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or a related field deemed relevant;
- Enrolment in a program in which the principal investigator is eligible to supervise graduate students*;
- Strong interest in health ethics research;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively;
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team is an asset;
- Fluency in both French and English.
*Programs in Bioethics at the Université de Montréal; Clinical Ethics Programs at the Université de Montréal; Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University; or Department of Medicine (Clinical and Translational Research Program) at McGill University.
