About Jérémie Poschmann :
Jeremie Poschmann (CRCN INSERM) is a principal investigator and leads team 6 “Impact of acute inflammation on host pathogen interactions and lung homeostasis” at the center for research in transplantation and translational immunology (CR2TI @ University of Nantes). His group focuses on the application of discovery research, i.e., hypothesis free, large-scale data analyses in patient cohorts and animal models to identify molecular patterns associated to disease states. The aim is to generate novel hypotheses of pathophysiological mechanisms, reveal predictive disease signatures, and integrate molecular states with cellular phenotypes and patient symptoms.  A special interest of his lab is to characterize circulating immune cells throughout the course of divers immune-related diseases including kidney transplantation rejection, systemic inflammatory response syndrome and psychosis. Their strategy is to employ complementary functional genomics approaches (such as histone ChIP-seq and (single cell) transcriptomics) and for which they develop both, the experimental and bioinformatics tools. Jeremie also heads the CR2TI’s single cell platform providing genomics service to the local scientific community and driving forward method development. Prior to this, Jeremie was a genomics specialist at the Exeter Sequencing Service and a post-doctoral fellow at the Genome Institute Singapore. He has authored 29 original articles, including in Cell, Nature Immunology and Nature Microbiology.
