The IRCM Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Chantal Sylvestre to its Board of Directors, a role she has been actively involved in since the spring.
Chantal Sylvestre is a lawyer and partner at Dentons. She heads the Real Estate Law Group at the Montreal office and advises national and international companies with their real estate development projects, as well as numerous Canadian financial institutions.
Before joining Dentons Canada, Ms. Sylvestre was a partner at Heenan Blaikie. A graduate of the Université de Montréal (LL.B 1995 and LL.M 1996), she has been teaching security law and the rights publication for many years at the École de formation professionnelle du Barreau du Québec. She is a member of the Quebec Bar and is active in several professional associations, including the Canadian Bar Association, the Association des Femmes en Finance du Québec (AFFQ) and the Institut de développement urbain du Québec (IDU).
Supporting health research: a mark of generosity
It is no coincidence that this lawyer chose to get involved with the IRCM Foundation. “I have personally experienced health issues. Knowing that research is ongoing and making progress gives me hope that more lives can be saved,” says Chantal Sylvestre.
